Shannons Story...
Shannon Meyers a visual Artist came to the Kimberley region in 2002 and photographed coral reef during low tides at Cockatoo Island north of Broome, inspired by the colours and shapes of the coral began a series of pastel paintings. Melbourne Cup racing was always a celebration over the years for Shannon. In persuit of a hat that was zany, quirky or any kind of a difference was not to be found, hence the desire to make hats. Knowing that woman like to have individuality and uniqueness in their dress she decided to embark on an incredible journey of designing, dyeing, sculpting one off original hats that are suitable for the races, weddings and prestegious social events. The hats are light for the wearer, woman feel very feminine and a very special part of a womans character will come to the fore.
